Writing to Heal: A Narrative Processing Group

Back by popular demand! Starting in September, Transhealth will be hosting another series of “Writing to Heal: A Narrative Processing Group,” a therapeutic group that utilizes the written word. This group aims to promote positive peer relationships through the sharing of stories and writing prompts, decrease judgment and isolation related to self-narratives, and increase one’s access to coping skills for emotional dysregulation.
- Dates: Wednesdays from Sept 13th – Dec 6th 2023
- Times: 3:30-5pm EST
- Format: Virtual – Must Commit to Weekly Meetings
- Cost: Group will be billed through insurance; private pay options available.
“Writing to Heal” is a closed group for Queer, Trans, and Gender-Diverse individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, and mental health difficulties. Must be 18 or older to attend. Having an individual therapist is highly encouraged, participants must commit to weekly sessions, and folks will engage with weekly writing prompts in between sessions.
