Staff Bio
Celia serves as the Administrative Director of Transhealth Northampton. She has a wealth of experience with project management of complex, multi-faceted programs. Celia strives to assure efficiency and efficacy in systems framework and enjoys organizing, aligning, and proactively moving things ahead. For eight years, Celia helped develop and direct training and education programs for youth committed to the juvenile justice system in the state of Massachusetts. She built a successful screen printing social enterprise aimed at providing youth with their first real world job experience, as well as a variety of skills necessary to enter the workforce. She then worked to oversee the growth of workforce development initiatives for youth within the system, while ensuring the use of positive youth development, racial equity, and trauma informed approaches. Celia utilized her skills to guide multiple stakeholder groups through developing and integrating new pathways into existing systems – including tools, communication, processes, and strategy. Before moving to Western Massachusetts, Celia spent over 10 years in the summer camp industry. She has directed summer residential camps serving thousands of young people in the DC Metro area. Celia wholeheartedly believes everyone should have a place where they can bring their whole selves, belong, and flourish. Celia lives in Holyoke with her wife, Jamie, and daughter, Grady.
