Transhealth CEO Jo Erwin, RN, BSN (any pronouns) was featured in an October 29, 2025 article in the Springfield Republican entitled, “In challenging time, people, families turning to Transhealth in Northampton.”

“Times of worry for New England’s transgender community makes for ringing phones at Transhealth in Florence.

‘We are no strangers to people calling us in fear,” said Jo Erwin, CEO. “We’ve had folks calling to make sure Transhealth is still here. … We have had families calling and reaching out to us. Concerned about continuity of care.’

Fear has been growing from a flurry of President Donald Trump’s executive orders earlier this year aimed at limiting federal support for transitions. In early September, the U.S. Department of Justice proposed legislation “that protects and defends children from chemical and surgical mutilation under the guise of ‘gender-affirming care.’” It stemmed from a Trump executive order.”
