I am an adoptive parent of a sibling group, and a former foster parent for the Department of Children and Families. Open adoption and transracial adoption are special interests of mine. As a single parent of 4 children, I understand the complexities, challenges and joys that come with parenting.

Staff Bio

Aleah joins Transhealth Northampton after serving as a primary care provider and Director of LGBTQ Services at Cooley Dickinson Health Care. She brings 15 years of experience in primary care, transgender health and LGBQ care. Aleah believes that affirming, empathetic healthcare can make a huge difference in people’s lives. She is committed to working towards anti-racist, anti-ableist, trauma-informed healthcare that centers clients’ needs and stories.

Aleah’s pre-NP background is in reproductive health, STI prevention and education. She has extensive experience in teaching and training nurse practitioners, physician assistants and medical students/residents. Aleah is a peer consultant on the Project Health Transline, a national resource for healthcare providers. She also teaches and lectures locally and nationally.
