CW: violence, death, suicide.
This Trans Day of Remembrance (TDOR) we remember those in our community whose lives have been cut down by violence, hatred, suicide, and oppression. We rage at a society that comfortably allows these deaths to occur as if the people who have died had no worth, no humanity. Well they did. They were brothers, sisters, siblings, parents; they were family, friends, neighbors, community members, and workers and colleagues; they were people’s children. They are missed and they are mourned and they will never be forgotten.
Today we remember and today we re-commit to organizing in support of trans lives, trans dreams, and trans joy. To that end, we invite you to consider contributing today to one of the many trans mutual aid funds serving people in Massachusetts.
Together we will stand shoulder to shoulder in the fight of our lives, for our lives.
