On Trans Day of Remembrance (TDOR) we are called together in community to reflect on our trans, gender-diverse, non-binary, and intersex friends, loved ones, leaders, colleagues, and neighbors who have been taken from us and are no longer here to be called home.

Each person lost to anti-trans violence is a tragedy which sends shockwaves across our lives, and we are obligated in their honor, and with concern for those who remain within these violent systems, to continue showing up, resisting, and demanding a better world.

On #TDOR we also call upon our allies and champions to speak up, act out, share resources, and do more to protect trans people NOW while they (we!) are still HERE!

To all TGDNBI+ people – At Transhealth, we see you and we love you. For most of our staff here, we are you. We hold the pain of today with you, and we look forward to continuing down the path, together, towards a future that is inclusive of all of us.

There is no future that exists without trans people, and this is not an intention, it’s a certainty.
